Cold sore, despite the name, has nothing to do with cold. A virus called herpes simplex is the culprit. There are two types of virus- herpes simplex 1(HSV1) and herpes simplex 2(HSV2). The highly contagious virus is the (HSV1)   that spreads usually  through the saliva. Touching the sore is a very bad idea and bathroom items  like razors,  towels and sharing eating utensils can get you infected. It can result to a lifelong irritant, because in your body the virus remains dormant throughout your life. But there are certain triggers that awakens the virus which are :

In a cup of boiling water, soak the tea bag for one-two minutes, take the tea bag out, let it cool, place carefully on the affected area and wait for few minutes. 4.Whole milk : Immunoglobulin is a protein that in contained in whole milk. These are antibodies that fights the herpes virus. Whole milk remedy will bring you good results due to its essential components. Soak a cotton ball in a cup of cold milk, apply it on the affected area. After 10minutes of application, clean the milk residue with a clean and moist towel. You can repeat it several times for at least three days.

5.Hydrogen Peroxide : It magically works as a natural disinfecting agent apart from using for  treating wounds. The healing will speed up and the bacteria will be killed, the affected area is kept dry with this. In a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, soak the cotton ball and apply in the area just as like as using other remedy. Wait for 2-3 minutes, clean the area with a wet cloth and pat it dry.

6.Garlic :  Garlic is undoubtedly one of the most useful kitchen ingredient. It has numerous health benefits along with antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. All you can do to reduce the bacteria with garlic is that crush the cloves, make a paste using little water, apply to the affected area and wait for 15minutes. Rinse the area with water after removing the paste. Be careful in not using garlic for more than two days.
